David Grégoire enters the IUF
University lecturer and researcher at the ISABTP and the LFCR, David Grégoire became a junior member of the University Institute of France (IUF) on 1 October 2017 alongside his colleague Gilles Pijaudier-Cabot.
David Grégoire, university lecturer and researcher at the ISABTP and the Laboratory of Complex Fluids and their Reservoirs (LFCR), was appointed junior member of the University Institute of France (IUF) for five years.
After graduating from the “École normale supérieure “of Cachan in 2004 and obtaining a PhD at the INSA of Lyon in 2008, David Grégoire then joined the UPPA in 2009 after a post-doctoral fellowship in the USA. He currently manages the G2MP team on the Anglet site, and studies multi-physics couplings in porous environments. His approach includes modeling, experimental studies and digital simulations. He is also interested in characterizing the influence of adsorbed phases on instantaneous deformations and transportation in microporous environments. Possible applications include energy recovery or storage, filtration and waste storage.
His work also focuses on the coupling between reactive transport, damage and rupture in mesoporous environments which could be used in fields such as preservation of cultural heritage sites, production of hydrogen by serpentinization and fight against coastal erosion.
