INTERREG POCTEFA projectsThe University has been awarded 17 projects in the 2014-2020 period
INTERREG POCTEFA is the acronym for the Operational Programme for Cross-border Cooperation INTERREG Spain-France-Andorra. It is a European cross-border cooperation programme created to promote the sustainable development of the border territories of the three countries.
It co-finances cross-border cooperation projects designed and managed by actors located on both sides of the Pyrenees and in coastal areas that contribute to the development of smart, sustainable and inclusive growth of the territory.
Three calls for projects took place, in 2015, 2017 and 2019, around the 5 cooperation axes of the programme:
- Axis 1: Boosting innovation and competitiveness
- Axis 2: Promoting adaptation to climate change and risk prevention and management
- Axis 3: Promoting the protection, development and sustainable use of local resources
- Axis 4: Promote the mobility of goods and people
- Axis 5: Strengthen skills and inclusion within the territories
In total, 3,275,269 euros of ERDF INTERREG funds have been allocated to UPPA and have enabled the co-financing of projects by the UPPA laboratories and departments concerned over the 2014-2020 programming period.
First call for projects
During the first call for projects in 2015, 8 projects involving UPPA laboratories were accepted, including two in UPPA coordination, for a total grant of nearly 1.6 million euros.
